DeShon Foxx named Athletic Director for Shenandoah University

Shenandoah recently named DeShon Foxx as the new Athletic Director tabbed to start his new role on July 29th.

Foxx was a former D-1 athlete at The University of Connecticut and also played for The Seattle Seahawks and New York Jets in the NFL, after his playing career, Foxx served as the pass game coordinator, Tight Ends and Wide Receivers coach at Washington and Lee in the ODAC confrence before he came to Shenandoah University in 2021.


In a news release put out by Shenandoah University, Foxx said: “It is a tremendous honor to be named athletic director at Shenandoah University, In my time here, I have been continually inspired by the incredible dedication and talent of our coaches and student-athletes. Their hard work and passion are the heart of our athletics program. I look forward to building on our successes, establishing and promoting a culture of excellence, inclusivity and empowerment, and elevating our athletics program to even greater achievements. I want to sincerely thank President [Tracy] Fitzsimmons for entrusting me with this role.”
